Drifting Away

So long ago I was anchored

Was faith that held me down

Now I'm lost in an ocean of sorrow

No light to guide me to ground

I've strayed too far from land

For the Lord to hear my last plea

I'm on a ship with no captain

In waters rough as could be

If I were to throw myself over

Oh to see you there in the light

Would I sink to the depths of the ocean

To a place that's dark as the night
