Going to my home in the mountains

The mountains is where I want to be

You know I've never been happy

Since I left those hills of Tennessee

Went away from home to save my mind

Forty years and I feel like eighty-nine

Going back home going to stay

Where me and my guitar will sing and play

Going up in holler

Head up a moonshine still

I'll be so happy when I get there

Gonna dance all over them hills

Don't know why I ever left there

Must have been out of my mind

For staying away from the mountains
